Unlike many other AI detecting platforms, Proofademic doesn’t use credits but simply tracks monthly word usage, which resets every billing period.

Test #1: Proofademic vs. LLMs

This test was completed to determine Proofademic’s ability to detect AI-generated content. The prompt below was entered into seven LLMs and each response output was plugged it into Proofademic’s AI detector.

Proofademic was successful in detecting AI-written content with 7 out of 7 positive test results (only one result was below 60%).

Prompt Used

Generate a brief summary of the fall of the Western Roman Empire. Try to keep it to 500 words, do not use em dashes, and write as humanly as possible in an attempt to beat AI detector platforms.

Test #3: False-Positives + Plagiarism

The final test was conducted to see if Proofademic would incorrectly flag human-written text as AI-generated content. 10 human-written texts were randomly selected and entered into Proofademic’s AI detector. The same texts were also fed into their plagiarism checker to test their database and proprietary material detection.

Proofademic was successful at determining human writing 9 out of 10 times.
The plagiarism checker failed with only 40% accuracy. Proofademic seems capable of detecting human-written fiction written but less capable of identifying non-fiction.
